How to use Kaissa?

Every Kaissa feature explained step by step: organize your games, analyze them with Stockfish, prepare for your opponents and follow tournaments live. Pick a section or search for what you need.

Get started in 3 steps

    Import your games

In the Database, click Import games and drop one or more PGN files.

  2. 2

    Open a game

Double-click a game in the table: it joins your games in analysis and opens on the Chessboard.

  3. 3

    Analyze

Replay the moves with the arrow keys, let Stockfish evaluate the position and compare with the best moves played in your database.

All features

Collections

Store your games in folders and subfolders.

Open the database

Where? Sidebar › Database › Collections

  1. 1

Click the + next to “Collections” to create a collection (for example “2026 tournaments”).

  2. 2

Right-click a collection to rename it, move it, import games into it, export it as PGN, create a subcollection or delete it.

  3. 3

Drag and drop a collection onto another one to nest it, and a game from the table onto a collection to move it there.

  4. 4

My games is your main collection. All games gathers your whole database.

  5. 5

Games created from the editor or a FEN land in Drafts. Deleted games go to the Trash.

Tips

  • The trash is emptied automatically after 30 days: plenty of time to recover a game deleted by mistake.
  • While dragging, hover over a collapsed collection to expand it.

Add games from a PGN, a FEN, the editor or your voice.
